Road to Home is a 14-foot-high, 180-foot-long mural created for BUMP Festival 2025 that flips a familiar Calgary narrative. Instead of depicting the common journey out of the city toward Banff, the mural shows a woman leaning out of a car window, travelling into Calgary from the mountains. The composition stretches from Banff’s peaks on the far left to Calgary’s city centre on the far right, echoing the artist’s time in Banff and his experience introducing friends—many of them Australian—to the city. Between the mountains and the city, abstract forms and plant elements flow across the wall, subtly deconstructing the artist’s name, ABSEN, as a tribute to his graffiti roots.
